The Jim Self Center on the Future operates programs that train leaders for effective and ethical service at all levels of public and private life. Ongoing programs include:

Self Civic Fellows Program
The Self Civic Fellows Program prepares grassroots leaders for elected public service using a framework of ethics and public responsibility.

Strom Thurmond Boys & Girls Club Leadership Institute at Clemson University
The Strom Thurmond Boys & Girls Club Leadership Institute provides services to Boys & Girls Club professionals to help them improve club retention, recruiting, and resource development problems. These services include professional development through the Advanced Leadership Certificate Program, online communities, the Virtual Conference Center, and distance education programs such as the Masters of Human Resource Development.


Past programs include:

South Carolina Project on Campaign Conduct
The Jim Self Center on the Future coordinated this project in 2002, in which the South Carolina gubernatorial candidates developed and signed a code of campaign conduct.
